700 Power Steering Cylinder

I took the power steering cylinder off my 740 to have it rebuilt. Hydro shop cut it open and said it wasn"t repairable. If they replaced the seals the wall of the cylinder was so thin it would blow out. I don"t want to spend any money on a used one and then still have to rebuild it. I see there are some on Ebay that claim they are for the 700/900. Has anyone bought one of them? Are they ready to install out of the box? Is there any other place to check that might be cheaper?

I have never heard before of the wall wearing thin. there is one on ebay now at about $495. that has worse than average chrome worn off from the rod. So I suppose the cylinder could be bad. I have usually seen only about one inch of chrome worn off.
