I need an input shaft for a sherman trans in a 600 1957. ford part number c3nn7015d all the dealers on the web have it on back order.I'm afraid I'll forget how to put the thing back together if I do'nt find one soon thanks.

Most of the dealers on the web still list all of the old parts as "back ordered", or "3-5 days", or "call us", even if they are no longer made, which I suspected is the case about the part that you're looking for. I always check partspring.com, as they're honest about it, and I just looked there for you and that part number is listed as "No Longer Available". So your best bet is probably going to be to start checking the salvage yards.

This is Old Jim's son, trying to find this part for Dad or a Sherman Trans to drop in. Question is will any 10 spline Sherman from an N series fit the 600? Or can we take the input shaft out of an N w/ sherman and put that into what I think is a third Gen Sherman in the 600. My understanding from Smith's site is yes, but thought you guys might know for sure before I go searching.
