Rest O Ride Slants

I just rebuilt my rest o ride seat. However, as I turn the screw the seat slants to the right. What did I do wrong?

Are the suspension spring links (round bars) convex or concave? They should be convex or arched upward.

The other thing to check is free movement of the suspension spring links - They should rotate smoothly. If one binds it will act as an anchor and rotate just one side of the seat and cause it to tilt as you described.

Regarding the picture you posted, I noticed that starting from the center the right spring is farther from the center than the left. Could the problem be as to where I started?

Could be..... If the "clocking" of the tabs on the springs are off, I suspect it would limit the range of travel of the suspension.

A photo may give us a little more insight to your problem.

Here's a photo of the seat elevated and showing the tilt down to the right. When it's lowered, it seems to sit level. Any suggestions on how to make it level when raised?
