do they make 2 different types of the 3 terminal ? as the one one it when i got tractor was a 3 term. and mounts the same.
i may just drill a new hole in side of batt tray to mount the one from 8n and be done with it.
but (curiousity kills the cat though, lol)

Quoting Removed, click Modern View to seeYes, there are dozens of different solenoids and for sure more than one type of three terminal solenoid. Did you do the test I described? Here is another to determine the wrong type for your tractor. Across from one battery post to the other, touch solenoid small terminal and solenoid case (no big terminal involvement). Pull-in or not?

done the above test, yes it pulls in.
found the one came off tractor, the small terminal is to the right of solenoid and labeled "I"
The new one is to the left and labeled "s"

Quoting Removed, click Modern View to seeLabels & position are not particularly relevant, as makers tend to use whatever is readily available for case, just guts & how wired inside. Now that you have done both tests, do you understand difference & what will work in your case & what will not?
