Quadrant To Lift Cover Gasket

I need to install a different lift control quadrant on my Ford 960. Do I need a new quadrant to lift cover gasket? Also, if I need a new gasket do I need to put some type of gasket sealant on it? Is there much fluid that will drain when I remove the old lift control quadrant? I don't knowe much about working on tractors and I don't want to "trade a headache for an upset stomach".

that gasket isn't for keeping pressurized oil in. it's mostly for keeping stuff out.

you could cut one of of gasket paper if needed. no sealant needed

don't be tempted to squirt a random wadd of rtv in there and mash it together...
