3pt power lift problem

I have 841 Ford tractor that has problem with 3pt power lift. It rise fine but it does not go down without weight on it. Does anyone know why?

3 point hyd lift is power up gravity down so yep you have to have weight on it to make it go down. Think of it this way if you get a milk shake and suck some into a soda straw and then pull it out the straw stays full till the shake either melts or you blow or suck it out. Same thing applies to the 3 point and the cylinder is full of oil so the weight of the arms are not enough to push that oil out unless it is real warm or you push it out

Is’t normal to raise and lower the arms by my hands when the hydraulic lever is in the down position.
 
Yep you can raise or lower the 3 point arms by hand. The way things are made the arms are pushed up by a part that just sits on another part so yep you can lift the arms up by hand
 
It is done that way so things like a back blade can sort of float instead of holding down so if it hits a high spot you would have the rear tires loose traction and stop you
 
Hello old, I did not start my tractor for about one month. This weekend I tried to start it but did not start. It looks like too much gas in it. Any ideas on how to get it started
