Another SOS Question

I have been working on these Blue Fords for quiet a few years but have not worked on too many SOSs. Just not many in my neck of the woods. I have a customer that has a 1965 3000 Gas. Pretty much all original tractor. Nothing had ever been done to the transmission until 2 years ago. I changed the fluid and filter, checked the pressures and adjusted the bands. Recently he called me to say that he was having a problem with the transmission slipping under load in 5th and 6th gear. He brought it to me this week and I again checked the pressures and adjusted the bands. I can hold the brakes and at near full throttle and it will kill the engine in 5th and 6th gear.(No Slippage)I have not been able to get it to slip. My question ,does he have a developing problem and are the parts available to fix it if he does.I do not want to tear into this thing if I can't get the parts to fix it.Thanks.

I'm guessing that if he's experiencing 5 & 6 slippage he'd likely find it in 9 too, if he tried it. That should be a DDC slip rather than a band slip. I might suspect his DDC clutch is getting weak or some of the hydraulic circuitry that controls it is doing something it shouldn't.
