Re-Sleeving pressure tube on 600

Have the 3/8 tube, have taken the hydraulic manifold off and drained fluid.
Tomorrow night I'm going to clean the old tube and try to re-sleeve. How far in does the new tube go?
Does it bottom out at the far end (wasn't going to split the tractor, sounds like many have had success without that)or go all the way through?
From reading previous posts on here it sounds like the re-sleeve tube is around 16 inches long when done??

The pressure tube runs the entire length of the the transmission. So just cut it the same length as the tranny. It does not bottom out, it goes into an opening at the bottom of the center housing.

When you get the tube inserted, make sure to rod out the epoxy on the inside of the new tube. Plenty of room to push it out the other end.
