ford 2000 hydrolic problem

2000 ford tractor 3 cylinder diesel hydrolic pump primed up ... lift did not work ...take plug off rear end cover cant hear any oil running in rear end case .. so i rigged me up an air test system and applied air to the high pressure side leaving the pump and got air escaping in the oil where the high pressure line goes through the side of the rear end case ...there is a standpipe there to take pressure fliud up to the lift top .. what is broken down there in the bottom of the case ? lift works fine with air on top ? tia IHSMOKE

my service manual ain't with me.. but i'm thinking relief is down there. it is on a 53-64 model.

no its the newer one ...blue and white 2000 in middle of hood .... i not great at dating a phord lol

I'm going through mine right now. When I took the lift cover off the tube came up with the cover. There are O rings top and bottom but the bottom one was too small. There's also a snap ring at the bottom above the o ring. I don't know yet if it is to stop the tube from going in too deep or to lock it in place. Your O ring could be missing.
I took the suction and return filters out today. There was no o ring on the return tube and it's sleeve is gone, and I found a piece of o ring on the suction filter. Mine doesn't want to lift in cold weather.
