9N Steel Wheels

Picture may not show up. I can ask the question. I have what appears to be a 1939 or 1940 9N with rear steel wheels and smooth hubs. Front are rubber tires. Should fronts be steel also?

Thanks

It probably didn't come with steel wheels at all, if that's what you mean.
War model 2Ns came with the steel wheels.
Those 2Ns would also have a choke rod out the front, a hand crank and
no electrics. No starter, battery or distributor. Magneto ignition systems.
That being said, its your tractor, you can put them on if you want to!
Those smooth hubs are pretty highly prized by some collectors too.

By the time the wartime steel wheel 2N's came out, the smooth hubs were history. I agree with the other poster. It shouldn't have steel wheels at all.

Don't see 32" steel wheels very often. I agree with Jim that tractor came from the factory with 8-32 rear tires and 19" front rims with 4-19s on them.
