Fit of brake shoes on anchor pin collar

How much of a gap should be between the collar on the anchor pin and the shoe? The hole on my shoes is about 1/4 inch larger than the collar.

Also the pins are frozen in place. I will find some torches cut the shoe off and heat the collar. Foolish question but does the anchor pin get pulled out or pushed through the backing plate.

Bushing/shoe fit sounds about right.

Pin can be removed either way once free from bushing.
