801 Rebuild

A couple of years ago my 801 broke the gear on the back of the cam shaft, and in doing so broke the cam shaft in 2 places. I tore the engine down and of course needed to put new liners in and such then I sort of lost interest in it and it has been sitting. Now that I"m back to the rebuild I have run into a problem. And even though I bought a manual through this web site all it shows is the governor and since I have a diesel I don"t have one. So my question is on the front of the crank shaft after the gear is installed you have a oil slinger and a spacer (looks like a short pipe.)and another piece which I have no ideal what it is but it will fit around the inside of the front oil seal from the inside of the cover, can any one tell me in what order does these parts go on to the crank shaft? The order I have it in is gear, spacer, oil slinger, the piece I have no ideal on the inside of the oil seal and then cover. It seems to make the front pulley fit tight in the seal?

Your best bet is to go onto the CNH website and look at the parts book. The front seal on my 172 gas rides on the pulley surface.

Doug here are 2 pics that should help.

I don't know why it didn't put my remarks below the photos I posted but as you can see steamnjn23 I have it in the right order now just have the wrong part.
