Ok, I've got to retract part of my post below. Just been out pushing snow with the 8700, and it does have one spring loaded remote. This tractor has a front end loader running off the remotes. It has no three point hitch. The spring loaded lever is in the outer position where the 3pt lever would be and operates the main loader rams. The two inner lever run the bucket tilt and grapple and have detents. While it looks factory I'm not really sure. Most tractors here don't have 3pt, so I'm not sure if they came with a third remote lever fitted where the lift lever should be.

A factory 3rd remote valve handle would be located behind the other two, as would the flow control knob. I can say with reasonable certainty that any remote you have installed that is controlled where the 3 point handle would be is NOT factory installed. The service manual makes no mention of such a valve. I suspect it's aftermarket.

See attached pic from 9700 literature. A factory 3rd remote would be installed in the empty slot between the red and white levers. The flow control would be behind the console.
