Are you saying that you have a loader and are trying to find a tractor that it will fit on? What model tractor was the loader on previously? Apparently something in the Ford 2xxx range of models from your question. If it came off of a 2000, was it the earlier 4 cylinder 2000 or the later 3 cylinder 2000?

Your post is asking about when they changed the width of the sheet metal on the 2000, and then you say that the 2810 was too wide. The 2810 is not a 2000.

In between the original 3 cylinder 2000 and the 2810 there were a few 2xxx models, including the 2600 and 2610, and they started making the 2310 a year before the 2810 but continued making the 2310 alongside the 2810, plus there were the 2110, 2120 and 2190 that were all made during the time period that the 2810 was being made. All of them look to have slightly different sheet metal from one another, but I don't have any around to measure.

If you're going to do it blind then you should get the exact same model tractor that the loader came off of, as that's the only one that you can be sure of it will fit, and that's only if you're really sure of the model. If you're only going off of someone else's word then it's just as likely to be incorrect as it is to be correct.

If you're seriously looking, you should measure all of the critical dimensions of the loader, and then measure each tractor that you're looking at, and not just the width of the sheet metal needed, but also the distance between the mounting brackets, and how far out in front of the side mounting points the loader goes, as many of those models I mentioned above have different noses on them that appear to stick out in the front by different amounts, so you might find a model that's narrow enough, but the nose sticks out too far, or one that the sheet metal's fine but the distance between the rear axle and the bolster mounting holes is too long or too short, etc.

there is a slight difference ont he nose on a 3000 and a 3600

I have bought universal fit nose clips and had to torch a bushing off and them metal cooler tubes in order to fit the uni clip to my 3000 front end..e tc.
