Ford 871 SOS Diesel- I'm trying to confirm if all original or not. Just did complete overhaul on diesel, inj pump, generator, and new wiring harnesses.

871-D
67912
92B
Trans 312259a / CWC / C109
Rear 92E/ 312480

All gold paint with red showing thru on trans. SOS is super tight and runs great. Engine has .25 hours on it.
Is it original? Any ideas on if its a collectible? Lots of experts here. Help me please

Are ya sure its not the very goldish primer under the paint? i know the years are far apart but my 57 has a goldish yellow primer which for a minute i thought it was a anniversary jubilee untill i uncovered the ser# and model.

Thanks Larry, I was pretty sure. I'm a Massey dealer in WA and had a customer ask me to "de-leak it". It then snowballed into a complete rebuild up front. Any idea where would be the best place to list for sale. Sure would like to find somebody to finish and love this old girl.

What you are calling the "anniversary jubilee" was the 1953 NAA, also called the "Golden Jubilee" and it was not painted gold from the factory, it was painted red and gray.

A "Gold Demonstrator" was a Select-O-Speed tractor that was painted gold from the factory to be used as a demonstrator model by the dealerships to demonstrate the new S-O-S transmissions when they were first introduced in 1959.

Your '57, regardless of the model, could not be either.

Not sure how you get '57 out of that Sean. His tractor serials out to a '59 and is in the correct S/N range to be a gold demo.

Larry my reply had nothing to do with the original post in this thread. I was replying to craigss's message about thinking his '57 whatever was a "anniversary jubilee" because he thought it had gold paint on it.
