Been meaning to send these photos for some time now. I bought this tractor from 91 year old original owner 6 years ago. It came with the 4 original Firestone tires but I replaced the fronts. I also put on a freshly painted bumper otherwise its pretty much like I bought it.

This tractor was used on a "Ma & Pa" 20 acre vegetable farm in SE WI and never sat outside in the weather. I now use it to run a 3 point finishing mower.

Thought some of you guys would really appreciate seeing an original well cared for 51 year old tractor!!

p.s. apparently the left 3pt. arm was bent when plowing with 2-14 plow (hooked on tire turning ??) sometime in 1970's and original owner received a blue arm from dealership thus the reason for mismatched colors on 3 pt. arms. I just left it that way for conversation piece.

Nice clean tractor. Did you get the bill of sale? I was just wondering what it sold for back then.

ASE guy: The original owner could not come up with original sales slip but thought he paid around $3,500 for it. He bought it in Dec. 1962 as a leftover floor model and said most farmers were passing on the "red & grey" 801 and purchasing the "blue" 4 cyl. 4000's.

He thought he paid around $500 less than what the "blue" ones were selling for.

Are the rear tires labeled "Firestone Champion Ground Grip" or something else? Is the size labeled as 12-28? I'd like to see photos of the sidewall labels.

Texas1: Don't know for sure. I'll look when I get home. I know they say 14.9x28 and "gum dipped"....and the word "champion" I recall seeing.

Beautiful! I think I'd keep the blue lift arm too.

Its great to know the full history of the tractor like that.
