Jon, I don't really have any experience with a front mount but I use a back blade on my 861. Used it a couple times this year with absolutely no problem moving heavy, wet snow. Never even put the chains on, just added about 400# of weight to the drawbar. Worked fine with the 3 pt. and no fussin with hydraulics.

Nice looking tractor Tom. I didn't mount my front plow this year so am using just the back blade. Back blade does ok but I really did miss the front plow. Front plow is more versatile, easier to use and will push your piles higher.

FWIW, The snow plow from an N series, Hundred and Thousand are all the same. The frames and lifting mechanisms, etc are all different but the plow itself will interchange. So if you found the frame this year and plow the next it's still worth putting the package together.
