Wondering if TONY JACOBS or anyone can help me identify the model surplus Dodge Power Wagon axle used on my 1962 4000 Ford (4cyl Industrial). I definitely have the Dodge axle and not the axle cast by Elenco... it has 12 bolts around the differential and the front axle hubs are 16 spline and appear to be 1 3/8" shafts. I would like to know the DANA axle number and/or specifically what year and model Power Wagon this axle may have been from. I need to order axle seals, lockout hubs, and tie rod ends and I don't want to guess at it and be wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Dan , I did get your email and I will call you but I wanted to post some Info to correct the WRONG INFO you had posted about Elenco's . The axles were originally Dodge Military NOT Civilian Power Wagon width's are different as are yokes , driveshafts , wheels , etc. etc. and a few other parts . DANA did NOT make any parts for the Early Dodge Miltary or Civilian Trucks they were all made by Dodge only . Dodge used DANA axles in the Civilian Trucks after 1960 I believe and in the Military Dodges after 1977 I believe . The REAL , ORIGINAL and ONLY POWER WAGON was the flat fender version built from 1947 to 1968 and all of them had 5 lug wheels and flat head 6 cylinders in them . The Military version the M37 was built until 1977 and was also flat head 6 cylinder powered and had 5 lug wheels . Thanks Tony
