Hey fellas,

I just wanted to drop a line and say I've not been on this board much lately and I do miss you fellas. I still cruise in every once in a while, but I've two challenges right now:

First, my darn 971 starts right up and does whatever I ask of it!! I haven't had a problem in a few years now  . She's not pretty, but darn dependable.

Secondly, I'm wanting to get a 52' Chevy decent and driveable for my soon to be 13 year old son. Life doesn't allow much fun $$, so I've purchased a couple of parts cars (both 51's) and am using some of the parts, while parting the rest out on another discussion board and ebay. Keeps me rather busy. At any rate, keep up the good work and I do miss being involved here more often.

My son has a 1951 Chev pick up that we have been working on off and on as $$ allow for the last 4 or 5 years. So what model is the one he has and is it a 2 or 4 door??

Chris,
I"ll be departing DFW at 1520 this afternoon on my way to Quad Cities, IA & IL. I"ll wave at you as I fly over.

1952 Styleline Deluxe sedan. Found it a few miles from home and just got a clean title around Christmas time.

Hey Alan,

Enjoy the flight, we always enjoy the quad cities. Why the new screen name?? did ya get unruly using you old one

Ought to be a neat ol car for the School Parking lot for sure! Esp next to all the new fancy pancy cars kids get to drive.. heck I thought I had a old car back then.. mine wa s 67 CJ5.. thats even older!

Very Kewl.

One heck of a tank there. At least you know if he happens to get into a wreck who is more likely to be able to back up and drive off. Be sure you check the 3 on the tree those where well known to mess up and hang up between gears so you had to get out and put them back in place to be able to shift them. BTDT way to many times with them old 3 on the trees

(quoted from post at 20:02:23 03/12/13) Wonder how many girls got pregnant in the back seat of that thing.

Oaf,

I don't care how many got pregnant there in the past, as long as none do in the next 10 years or so (our younger son just turned 10, he might borrow the car)

The forum will still be here, your kids are gone in a heartbeat.
At least it seemed that way to me!
Enjoy the time you have with them and post a pic now and then! :)

I posted the reason for the name change on the "Politics" forum over on the other Ford N tractor website. Since this site doesn't have a Politics forum I didn't explain it here but since you asked, here it is.
Sam Houston's last words on his death bed to his wife were supposedly "Texas, Margaret- Texas!". Due to the current state of affairs in this country I'm hoping Texas once again will be known as the Republic of Texas where personal freedoms are respected.
