Deere parts go through the same process. Still doesn't explain why NH can charge $75 for a seal that Deere would sell for $20. I see this over, and over, and over again on multiple types of like-for-like parts.

As an example, both Deere and NH (Ford) used to use ZF front drive axles. I used to buy parts for drive axles for a Ford tractor, FROM Deere, over the counter, for less than dealer cost at a NH dealership. Didn't matter whether it was tie rod ends or u-joints, the result was always the same.

That may be....

but the stuff I buy on a regular basis... I don't see a lot of difference. Every once and a while I get something from one or the other... and get pleasantly surprised... but not too often.
What I do fairly often see... is that any part that NH has a stranglehold on... that has no aftermarket source... then they really nail you. I find the same with Deere tho.
