you can try that - but I'd bet on the failure of the little steel pin that pins the sequencing valve to servo three.

If you have a service manual, carefully follow the instructions to remove the interlock cover on the left side of your transmission. You can replace this little pin without removing servo 3 if you do it carfefully.

I will try that if the band adjustment doesn"t work. Can that pin be replaced with a suitable sized drill bit cut to fit? I"m assuming that the part is not available from the store. Thanks for pointing me in this direction--- I would never have figured this out. I don"t know what any of these components do, except that when they"re all together and working properly they move my tractor...

Rwplacing the pin is straight forward. You should be able to complete the job in a couple of hours or less.

Be careful removing the interlock assembly. It will likely be well stuck to the transmission case. DO NOT drive a wedge between the cover and the case at a tab or ear. Doing so can break off part of the cast cover.

You will need to order a gasket from CNH. Order the pin at the same time.

Thanks Dean. You wouldn't have a part number for that pin would you? Found the cover gasket number, but can't seem to isolate the pin...

Jeff - did you read my last response? It was ahead of Dean's and included both the gasket number and the pin number! LOOK AGAIN!
