861 Front Axle Pin Removal

Take a piece of steel bar stock or something similar that will fit between the 2 "ears" on the end of the pin. Soak the pin thoroughly with your favorite penetrant. Try to unscrew the pin with the bar stock.
 
I did something similar. Using bar stock I welded a 11/16 (OD) nut to the center of it and used an impact wrench to remove it. Worked good, but this was also after a good soaking and a little heat. My pin was VERY stuck as some are.

Same here. I also first ran the other way to tighten (just a tad), then reverse. It helps crack the rust loose.
