Need help! I have a 3400 1966 ford tractor the powersteering does not turn to the right sometimes. It locks up and if I play with turning to left and back to right it willunlock. I thank I have a problem with the steering gears? Maybe a valve in the steering box? or could it just be the cylinder?" Help

Disconnect the steering rods at the sector arms on the steering and see if it turns both ways without binding,it sounds like you may have a bad gear in the sector.At least you can isolate the problem that way.

I did that and it did not lock. could have been a little smoothther but did not lock Its like a valve opens and it will turn to the right. could it be a valve in the steering?
