A friend of mine has a Ford 2000 3 cylinder diesel which was made in England according to the tag on it. I believe it is a Dexta, but don't know much more about it. It has hand stamped on the left side of the block the number 1613003. On the bell housing it has the number 957E 7505C T1 cast into it. It also has L27H cast into it. I'm attaching some pictures of it. We looked at several web sites with serial number information, but only got confused. Any help with model and year of manufacture information would be much appreciated. |

looks like a super dexta.. if so it was one of the greatest tractors of its time. It was everything the new 3000 was to be two years later. live pto and live hydraulics.. only did not have power steering. otherwise, was fab in every way. Everyone who farm with it will tell you the same. parts can be difficult as it was english made, and you may have to look over there. but very rarely needed anyting other than fuel. |

Didn't the 4 cylinder Fords have live hydraulics and live PTO available in the 650 and 850 models starting in 1955? |

| Yes, but that was the 660 and 860. All Fords from '53 on have live hydraulics. |

| The serial number is stamped vertically on the bell housing flange. That will tell you what year it is. If it is original, the hood with the Ford decal came out in 1964. |
