I've got a 54 NAA. I replaced the sediment bowl assy. with a new CNH part a few years ago. The aftermarket ones are junk.
The valve on my current sediment bowl works and shuts off the fuel. However, I cannot get the bowl to stop leaking no matter how tight I get it. When the fuel is turned on it just drips ever so slightly and runs down the bowl and drips onto the hydraulic pump. About one drip a minute, but enough to make a mess.
I've used the cork gaskets, and rubber replacements from Tisco and others. I've had the bowl off numerous times and cleaned everything.
I'm thinking about getting another rubber one and using some Permatex to seal it.
Is there a better aftermarket O-ring that will seal and stand today's fuel?
