'62 Ford 2000 Throttle Linkage

Long story short, I can't adjust the throttle linkage out on my tractor. I managed to break one linkage and the spare I have will do the same if I force it.
Is there a way to replace the linkage rod and the clevis? I have found the rods for sale but the clevis does not come with it. Maybe someone has come up with a creative way to remedy a similar situation.
I have furnished a picture of the broken rod and the good one that is too short. I have drilled out the broken rod from the broken clevis in case I have to tap it for a new rod.

Wire brush all visible threads, even between clevis arms, soak
with penetrant, clamp clevis arms in vise break your nut loose
back it off, then clamp the rod in the vise length ways so you
can see the threads between the clevis arms and turn clevis
back and forth easy with a crescent wrench, while adding
more penetrant. If it don't budge apply heat to the clevis body.
If you don't have a torch there has to be someone or shop
around that does. You're not the first that this has happened
to, but they are a lot easier to get loose in a vice than on the
tractor and easier to see.

Yes, I have backed off the lock nut.
I've tried a torch and penetrating oil. The problem is that the rod starts twisting at the threads before any of the torque gets to the clevis. I'm afraid that if I try any more I will have two broken rods. I guess the rods are just old and weak enough that they are going to give before the clevis.

just make new ones.

BTDT with them rods.. clutch and brake linkage.

you can make a clevis with scrap and nuts if you have to.. and low current welder, solder or braze.

Well I "repaired" the old linkage. I drilled out the clevis, inserted a 2" 10-24 bolt and attached a turnbuckle nut. I then cut off an inch of the old rod and and threaded it for a 10-24.
It works :)
