Remove the large nut at the bottom of the carb and let it pee into a can.
Should have uninterrupted flow for at least a minute.
That will tell you if you have good gas flow.
No guessing or hunches.
Verify each step of the way.
If you have good flow we will then go on to spark but not untill then.

Run for a minute can be many things. As Ultra said check fuel flow for a few minutes catch it to look for dirt/rust/water. Good flow then check spark has to be a blue/white and jump a 1/4 inch gap or more. One common problem which you may have is a bad ignition switch and a minute is about how long one works if bad to check that run a hot wire from the ignition side of the battery to the ignition side of the coil and try it. If it runs then your problem is from the coil back to the battery.

Ok so what was it?? A clogged up filter as in the sediment bowl or did you maybe forget to pour gas in??

it sound like dirt in jet and needle area
the if you want do this this easy way i found to remove the dirt that area without taking the carb off you need
1.. sloven spray gun with 1/4 0r 5/16 hose about 90 to 100 pound of air
2.. wrenches 3/8 or 7/16 or what it take bottom nut of carb
3.. now turn off gas remove bottom nut catch gas in can..
4... remove fuel line from carb and the big screw
5 charge air gun but rubber fuel hose on fuel inlet hold tight then squeeze the gun trigger few time and then the dirt should be gone then do the big needle too. ..
