Since you state that Any feedback is appreciated...

I've never installed EI on a Hundred Series.
I did install and it on a 3 cylinder tractor and ran ran it for nearly 7 years.
There have been Many arguments over the years - both here and on the Ford N Series board about the value of EI.
You would do well to use the search box at the top of the page and read some of them.
Some pretty smart folks here - some with degrees in electrical engineering even have weighed in and made some very convincing arguments on why EI may or may not be better than a good set of points.
I'm not an engineer.
But I'm convinced that EI made my tractor start and run better though I have no scientific proof of that.
I also secretely believe that Marvel Mystery oil works better than Auto Transmission Fluid for freeing up stuck pistons in an engine.
I am also thouroughly convinced that big breasts save lives.
But I have found no proof of that either.

Not a hundred-series, but put one on our 3000 about 5 yrs ago. Haven't touched it since, always good spark. I spent many hrs on many engines in my early days setting gaps, cleaning & changing points, etc., so have really liked it. Planning to put it on the 3400 we got last spring.

Not sure how good it would be if the distributor is worn and has a lot of slop (gap to pickup sensor would drift).

Others on this board still like points a lot, so look thru the archives and read their posts, too.

i am trying to say something WITTY in response but i can't stop laughing.

I like both -- have used EI in an 871 for five years with good results, have used the others for nearly 41 years with even better results. Don't know much about Marvel Mystery Oil.

Happy New Year.

works fine
installed the pertronix 1244A in Hundreds, NAA's, side 8N's
no problems ever, so far
I pair it up with the napa IC14SB coil and wire it
straight up to a toggle on all.(I lose keys.....)

I also have points tractors, they work fine too.
Got to admit though that they get a bit annoying sometimes.
Just traded 2 8N's for a 5000 and the front mount one had been sitting
a few months in a damp location. mossy points, not fun at all......

I put a EI on my 960 maybe 15 years ago. And during the summer it gets started and run pretty often. And you know what? I couldn't tell you for sure if there is a distributor still on the tractor. That's how much attention it has required. I also have one on a forklift with 6 cyl. Chrysler. I had to replace that one after 2-3 years but that has been good for probably ten years now.

There is real evidence that large breasted women are smarter than their less well endowed sisters. Just sayin'.
