Hi, i recently bought at dearborn two disc plow in good condition, i was wondering if any body could help me with the set up of the plow. the plow does not seem to be digging in like it should. also i was wondering if the bearing caps were normal or revese thread. if any body could point me the way or share some advice on the set up and plowing i would appreciate it. thanks

I had one of those 10-80 disc plows for a few years and did not like it. It did not plow deep enough and did not turn the sod I was breaking over very well.
I sold it and went back to a moldboard plow.
It would take a whole page to explain the reason I can not post a link to the website below.
But if you go there and look under manuals they have an original owners manual scanned for that plow that you can download.

Thanks, I have the owners manual, it's not very much help on the use of the plow. yeah this plowed just seems like it's not digging deep enough only about 4 inches. Thanks

You might try adding some weight to the plow. It is not like a moldboard that will pull itself in the ground. I had a gopher poisoning machine that I had to add weight to to get the front coulter to penetrate the ground.
