I will try to cover everything leading up to my problems. I had the injection pump rebuilt summer of 2011 at Diesel Injection Service in Grand Rapids. I made sure there was oil in it when I put it back on. I also put on a new fuel pump (the one with the hand crank thing).I have had it sitting by the road all summer with a for sale sign on it because I don"t need it anymore. I ran it every once in a while to mow the grass around it and keep the battery charged. The last time I tried to move it, it didn"t want to start so I bled the lines, there was fuel, so I changed the fuel filter because I figured it might have plugged up sitting during the summer. I did get it running but it would run for a few minutes and peter out and die. If you had it sitting in the driveway it would run fine all the way to full throttle for as long as you wanted. As soon as I got driving around for a minute or two it would peter out and die, like it was getting air from somewhere. I went to the auto parts store and got some hose and pipe adapters and went around the hard line that runs along the engine block, it had been brazed once, but it looked fine. It continued to do peter out after a minute driving around like it did before. So I took off the bottom tank (the hose clamp at the suction line may have been loose?) and found that the filter screen wasn"t there so I got the draincock with the screen from the Ford dealer since that"s the way it has to be bought now. I put the screen on with some Seal All because it is supposed to be fuel resistant. I got it all put back together and got the tractor running. It will run for a little bit, then starts to bog down, not die most of the time though. It acts like it is burning through the fuel in the filter and then not being able to suck enough through the screen? I don"t have much if any fuel in the top tank at the moment. I"m not sure if the other problem is gone because this one seems to occur faster and then you can"t get going long enough. I would appreciate any help! Thanks!
