My ford 600 tractor runs wide open when started. It was running fine when I parked it a week ago. Any ideas on why?

| My 601 diesel had the same problem and I loosened several fittings and bled the air off and it works just fine. Roy

| ditto what the others said. check to see if the butterfly is stuf. next check to see if the governor is MAKING the butterfly be forced open.

all the linkage over well and make sure it is free to move and not binding some place and or has no broken springs or parts not hooked up or maybe even a mouse nest or other such things causing the linkage to not be able to move as it should
