Topic: ford 4000 lights?

I have some tractor lights I'd like to put on my ford 4000 3 cal diesel. Can someone walk me through how to do that? I don't have the grill that puts them in the front, was just going to bolt them to the fender or the FEL grill protector.

| If your lights have a single wire it is the "hot" wire and the light grounds through the mounting bracket. You will need to scrape the paint off of the fender to get a good ground or run a ground wire to the light fixture. For power to the lights you will need to mount a switch somewhere handy if your tractor doesn't already have a switch.

There is a place to mount a switch below the ignition, but there isn't one there. Is there somewhere in the wiring harness I can tap into, or do I need to run electric from the battery? Do you know of a schematic on the internet?

| I have a 5000 and the I&T FO-29 Shop Manual has a wiring diagram in it. It shows a Brown wire from the key switch to the light switch. The I&T manuals are available from many sources.
