I can buy a 4000 50 hp row crop gas, motor stuck sos. What I want to no is, if I put the front end to my 1974 4000 diesel all purpose, will the platt form work on a all purpose rear end? The rear wheels, lift arms. Steering column. The row crop have a narrow front. I hope some of you understand what I am trying to ask. |

| | You should be able to bolt the platform on the back of the AP chassis and change the bolster, steering gear and sheet metal. The rest of the mechanics of the back end are the same. Might be some incedinteals like changing the three point controls, etc... but not big deal stuff. Might also need longer shift levers for the 8 speed. Not really sure on that but it shouldn't be a big deal. Rod |

| I'm not sure I follow what you're trying to do... Are you wanting to put the diesel engine and front axle onto the jerk-a-matic or do you want to put the diesel engine into the RC chassis? Basically... I believe if you want to maintain the RC platform and steering then you need to use the RC front axle, bolster and sheet metal... so just swap the engine and flywheel... AND GET A DIESEL RING GEAR for the flywheel. Otherwise... if you want to use the AP front axle and bolster you'll need to change the back end over to a straddle mount and take the steering with it. I don't believe the sheet metal will interchange fully between the RC and AP models. Why you'd want anything to do with this swap is a bigger puzzle to me...Rod |
