Loader Reccomendation for 53-61 Ford

I've been searching on Craigslist for a while and seems loaders for these old Fords are not listed frequently. I don"t mind a used loader as long as it works well, is straight and the cylinders don"t bleed down. Anybody have a mfg preference and a recommended way to get my hands on one for a good price? Thanks, Rick

Generally, it would be better to try to find a Ford loader or maybe one made by Wagner or Sherman keeping in mind these were made many years ago and could have some condition issues. It might be helpful to know what model of tractor you want to put it on, there were a lot of different Ford tractors from '53 - 61. You could check Ebay (see link). It might be best to buy a complete loader tractor in working condition. -Will
Ford loader on ebay

cyl repack isn't bad.. last cyls I had repacked for my old ford loader was 80$ for 2 cyls.. did it while I waited.

what machine? a 53-54 naa or a 55-64 00/01 the 55+ have a few more optiones due to tapped bellhousing.

I like 1-arm loaders for loads up to 1000#

Thanks guys! I haven't looked at ebay yet for loaders....not sure why. I have a 44 2N, 48 8N, 54 NAA, 56 740, 57 641-D, 59 881-D and 61 841. It would be nice if the loader was interchangeable but truth is I'll probably put it on the 881-D and leave it there with a Woods Backhoe I have. I also have a one arm loader that I have yet to mount on anything yet. Not sure I want the one arm bandit with a backhoe. Anybody know if the loader on ebay is either a Ford, Wagner or Sherman????? Thanks, Rick
