I have a ford 2000I (4cyl. gas) with no 1st and reverse. Will a ford 950 transmission interchange? The 2000I is actually a 2030 model.

| | a 4 cyl 2000 is essentially a reworked 601 you can swap in an 01 tranny of the same type with probably no mods or other parts swapping. ie.. 4spd in/out. if it's a 5spd inthe 2000, use a dual clutch model, as that is what it should have. on an older tranny, you may have spline and brake differences... and or may be needing the flywheel to match t he clutch..e tc. ( pinion tube ).. maybee some cut n paste there as well.

| The 2000I have a 4 speed tranny and the 950 is a 5 speed. Thanks, Mike

| It should work, but you will need the flywheel and the brake pedal shaft may be different. And maybe the splined connector - may have to fabricate one with coarse splines on one end and fine on the other.
