ford 2000 hyd pump leak

I have a 1974 ford 2000 3 cylinder gasser and it has a small hyd oil leak at the 1 inch nut on the hyd pump. I have looked in the achrives and at new holland web site and the parts list at new holland it has a protection seal number 45(connb997a) 1/1/65 to 9/30/69.And the achrives at your site says that the hyd line in the 1 inch line is bad. My question is does my tractor have a protection seal or is the hyd line bad. I haven't took it apart yet cause I could live with the leak for now if I had to, but if I could just change the protection seal if it has one. Just don't want to get in over my head and take it apart and put the tractor down . Any thoughts or help would be great
Thanks Joe C

The leak is at the 1/2 line. The nut is a one time use setup. The p/n C7NNH856C, Index# 72A. Depending on how many times nut has been replaced it is a good idea to cut about 1/8in of end of tube if it is crushed about 1/2in from end or deep groove from metal washer in it.

Those darned nuts are problematic.
You kind of have to wreck the nut to get it off the tube. New nut is over $40 from the dealer.
When you reassemble it put the nut on first then take a punch and swedge the end of the tube slightly - I mean expand the diameter of the tube just a hair. That should fix your problem.
