3600 radiator cap

the mamual calls for a 7# radiatior cap on my 3 cyl gasser. the previous owner has/d a 4# cap on it. might there be a specific reason for that?

also after running until the engine warms up i cannot see that the water is moving in the radiator yet everything seems to be working correctly. any thoughts on that?

I just had a radiator repaired for a 3000 gas and the shop tech recommended using a 4psi cap on a radiator this old. In fact he just gave me a new one (at no charge)to use since I did not remember whether I had a 7psi or a 4psi cap. I have never had a problem with the temperature running high and I do not use the engine very hard.
