I remember Dad and Grandad pulling off their 8n when it was time to start the spring planting. I can still remember the smell and the sound. Seems like they always had to pull it off. First tractor I drove by myself. Had to stand up cause I could not reach the pedals sitting down.

That takes me back! Over here in the U K we were just the same - but usually on a grey Fergie. We were driving on the land for about ten years before we were old enough to go out on the road. Both these tractors were so user friendly they gave us valuable experience where we could do no harm.

I bet a lot of us left the land in our teens to follow our careers but have come back in later years as collectors and restorers. Long may it continue.

S19438 thanks for sharing. For 20 years since Ive had my 8n I read and collect everything about n tractors. Those pics of them lined up are a show alone
