This was strange...

Disking right along yesterday w/TW35 when all of a sudden, it downshifted into dual power - I never touched the shift button. Stayed for about 3 min. then upshifted all by itself, ran in direct for a few seconds, then downshifted again and immediately upshifted back to direct drive. Did it 2 more times before I got done. It downshifted once back in April by itself but had been good since. Seems the suggestion then was the solenoid was going bad. This ever happened to anyone else? How hard to fix?
 
solenoid going bad or losing power to solenoid. dual power is on the same cab relay with cab fans did cab fans quit at same time? got one now that the control valve has trash in it. wont shift into direct sometimes
 
I"ve had to replace a couple of the floor switches over the years on our 7710. The switch could be going open and causing it to go into low, but in my case it usually wouldn"t shift when you hit the button. The switch on the 7710 at least is a headlight dimmer switch - much cheaper from an auto parts store than CNH.
 
The dimmer switches they use for shifting go screwy sometimes... My 7710 has done that in the past. I just wired a toggle switch into mine that I taped to the main shift lever so now I don't use the toe button at all. I actually wired a relay into the circuit and maintained the original switch... but I use the toggle myself.

you can remove the switch and install jumper wire then use the tractor if it stays in direct them the switch is the prob.
