Another Thank You!

Hey Folks,
First off, congrats to JD60677 on finishing his Jubilee...very lovely!

I also wanted to also pass along a heartfelt thank you to all the people who shared knowledge and experience during my seemingly ever growing project. Evolved from adding a loader, trying to unstick a clutch, to adding power steering, rebuilding carb, rebuilding hydraulics, paint, etc, etc, etc. I'm sure you know how it can getaway from you fast!

Here is a picture (if I can figure how to upload it) to show it actually is really back and working. I will post some more to try to show what I fabricated as a Quick Attach on both the hay spear and the bucket as well as my 'ballast' for the rear.

That's a gorgeous specimen.
I like the photo and am always glad to see more of you guys' great work.
I see you have cast rear centers and 24s on her.
You can't add pie weights to those you know.
What's the model # of the loader?
Tag probably says 19-XX but I mean 7XX model.
Thanks for posting.

Beautiful tractor, nice work, tell us more about
what you did.
That loader looks very much like the Ford 703 on my
'62 4000. -Will

I have to ask, what paint did you use and do you have the codes for the paint? I have to do one myself (641) that is. Very nice looking?
I would like to see how you did the quick-tach also!

Nice picture and nice looking tractor but one thing i do not like is where that loader lift is sitting. I hate to see a loader sitting any higher then it need to be since up high is a good way to lay a tractor on it side. Safety thing to me or lack of

I doubt if it's going to fall over sitting there getting its picture taken.

Thanks for the kind words.....I confess I think it is 'purty' myself  Something about running a piece of equipment that looks good as well as functions well.

Loader is a Ford 720.

Replaced all hoses and rebuilt all cylinders. Arm cylinders were easy.....seal kit from NH cost just $30...but bucket cylinders were a bear......very tough to find seals. Local dealer supposedly found some..at a premium price....but turned out NOT correct and then would not refund me anything. Hey...I appreciated the effort to track old stuff down...but when it is wrong....why am I the one that has to eat it???? Anyway...sorry for the rant.....but sore subject.

I'll try to take some pics of the QA, etc but it will be a bit....

And Old...I do appreciate the well meaning concern. Rest assured I will be careful. After all....can't muss that pretty face by getting careless

"I see you have cast rear centers and 24s on her."

how can you tell it is 24's?
is it the style of the wheel?

Nice job. Great looking set up in a nice setting. Loader seems
a little long legged tho. Very big hay bale and you could
change rear tires w/o a jack.

Here are a couple more pics.....
My solution to no pie wheel weights ....

Can even add 4 additional 80# weights I formed up (complete with rebar) to look like 'suitcase' weights that mount on a heavy angle bolted to the 2 bolts on top.

My fabrication to allow quick attach for spear and loader bucket...

Bought a Cat2 QA on sale from Northern and modified it. Added the 'boxes' to each implement and does the trick.

BTW....the paint sad to say is just alkyd with hardener from Tractor Supply. I had already purchased it before folks on the Restoration section told me it was not too great for durability. Hey...it is a working tractor and will take its share of lumps and bumps. Besides.... I suspect it will look reasonably good for longer than I might be around! If it doesn't, I'll just have to do it all again!
