Almost all electrical stuff is made overseas or south of the border. There is no escaping it as there is no one left in the US making this stuff. New starter from CNH for our TW30 was over $400. Got one off of ebay for $100 shipped to my door. Most likely came from the same plant that makes CNH parts. Has been working fine for 2 years now. I knew the starter was going so I had it on hand. One Sunday morning the old starter belched black smoke. I had the $100 spare on hand to fix it and then ordered another $100 spare to have on hand as it is the same starter for the 9000, 8700, and TW30. Not even going to rebuild the old starter. I can buy 4 new ones with out core charges for the price of a rebuild or new CNH starter. |
