i have a 1992 6610 series 2.there is a weep hole on the bottom side of the housing, under the tractor that is leaking power steering fluid but i cant seem to find where it is coming from.could someone steer me in the right direction?

If you have PS fluid coming out the bottom of the trans (if I understand you correctly), then it can only be coming from a leak on the bottom of your steering motor, the part of it you can't see.

Can you supply more/better info? What weep hole? which housing? how do you know that it is PS fluid?

If it's. Actually ps fluid then it's coming from under the steering motor that's bolted to the top of the transmission housing. However... If it's not ps fluid.... And it could be transmission fluid... Then you've got a leeaking tranny front seal...

Thanks. I only use the tractor to plant food plots for hunting season. Maybe get a chance to work on it this weekend after I get out if the woods.

I had the same problem on my 1983 6610. I bought the seal kit for the steering column and replaced the seals in the column. I did not do the seals on the lower section, did not want to get that far into it. Took me an afternoon, did not have to remove the fuel tank. That was 3 years ago and problem solved.
I originally thought it would be a lot tougher than it was. Toughest thing was getting the steering wheel off with out the proper puller.
Hope that helps.
