Hey all,

Am I late in noticing or just confused?? It seems to me there have been some slight changes here cleaning things up some?? But I can't say for sure what it is  .

(quoted from post at 17:00:54 10/27/12) Modern looks the same to me.

Hey guys,

I think I've been spending a lot more time on the Chevytalk site working on the 52' Styleline. This site is just a little easier on the eyes and made me think it had changed, probably not.

I'm on Modern as well. I can't see any advantage to Classic, but I know some prefer it. At any rate, this is a nice format.

Is that '52 a restoration project or are you going to street-rod it? Maybe just get it road worthy and drive it?

For some strange reason, I have a brand new oil pump that I THINK is for the 216 or 235. Anyone need it?

Hello Rusty,

Definitely leaning towards road worthy and drive it. It's actually for my 12.5 year old son when he turns 16. It goes down the road ok now, but there is much to do. I'm trying to keep the whole project around $5k, so bodywork and paint will be on us (a learning project :D ) It has a 56' 235 in it which is a good upgrade and I added a power brake MC and booster which seems to work nicely with the stock drum brakes. I purchased a 3.55:1 rearend that was stock on the powerglide cars to replace the 4.11:1 and will add it before long. Paint will end up either a single color, flat paint, or we might do the body work and consider shooting a clear coat over the patina. I guess that is all the rage now, but we'll see when we get down the road some.

It sounds like we aren't too far apart, we live just south of Maryville, MO. What part of SW Iowa are you in??
