hydraulic lift on Ford 3000

My bucket has been working fine until this weekend and all of a sudden the loader won't lift. The bucket will still tilt fine and the other hydraulic work fine. Do you think its in the control valve or the arm cylinders? What's the easiest way to find out?

auge your pump pressure........it takes a lot less to tilt than to lift.

after testing pump or relief pressure, then try a bypassing test and take 'drop lines to the lift cyls off if they are DA, and then pressurize the lift side and see if you get oil bypassing the packing.

post back if they are sa or you need more ideas for tests

If the engine loads when the tilt is against it's stop up or down then it is going to be one of the lift cylinders leaking past the packing internally.

If double acting cylinders take both down presssure hoses off and put the hoses in a bucket and try lifting the bucket. The fitting on the cylinder where the oil comes out of the clinder is going to be the one to work on.
