Jubilee oil pump question

Hello Guys,

My distributor broke the slotted ends of the oil pump. There doesn't seem to be a bind. There are 2 set screws at the top of the oil pump...on the outside of the block, right under the distributor.

On mine these were 2 set screws 1/4 inch long. These do nothing.

These screws are on the outside of the block, right under the distributor.

My question, are these right, or should these be screws that adjust the top of the oil pump to keep tension... or to keep it straight?

Parts book doesn't show anything there. Oil pump assembly does not mention these screws.

Thank you
Mike

You should have a set screw with a little seal behind it. It goes into the oil gallery that lubes the distributor shaft.
The hole is used to remove the sand when the block is cast and then plugged.

Where are these "slotted" ends?

For the pump to be broken off from the side of the block something would have had to hit it or the pan get a bad lick.
