Heat Shield '57 850

My 850 doesn't have a heat shield. The previous owner made some brackets and raised the gas tank up about 8" to get it away from the muffler. In doing that, he couldn't install any of the tin so the tractor doesn't look too good. I want to put the gas tank back where it is suppose to be and get the tin back in place. Does anyone have a picture or diagram of the heat shield so I might be able to build one. On September 20, Soundguy posted that he built one out of heavy roofing tin, but he had one off another tractor to use as a pattern. I don't have but one tractor so that is not an option for me.

Thanks:

if you have the roof tin to play with, you can rough it in by eye, then keep doing 'check fits'.

if you have the oem brackets for the tank, then you can use a scratch tool to make marks for the holes. width will u=ltimately be restricted by brackets. so will length.

close counts.. i made mine a hair wide and long.. fit ok.
