Start with the basics. Verify that you have a bright bluish white spark at the plugs that will jump a good 3/8". Short or yellowish spark will not do. Next check your fuel. Remove the plug on the bottom of the carb and let gas wizz into a can for at least 1 full minute. It should not slow down or stop in that time.

Yes, same location and same depth of holes where the spark plug washer or copper washer on an injector seats against the head. They are different heads - gasser does not have the locations for injector studs cast in. Valves, rocker arms and push rods are the same part #s between the two.
