Well guys I need some advice before I mess something up. I am replacing the Head Gasket on my 1957 850. I have recieved lots of excellent advice so far but now I am actually starting the project. The Oil tube that must be removed is very tight. I tried to pry gently on it but it want budge. Am I doing something wrong or should I go ahead and put some more pressure on it. I don't want to loose the gromlet at the bottom and have to fish it out. I have posted a picture of the tube. Thanks for the help. Clay |

| | Got it. Just didn't want to get bullish and break something. A little twist and pull and it came right out. You guys are great. I'm sure I'll be posting again as I progress. Thanks again Clay |

| | Thanks Old and Wayne. I didn't want to go to pulling too hard and break something. Sometime I get in too big a hurry and break something when a simple stop and think would have prevented it. Its raining here, Central Louisiana, and I may not get to do anything else today. Will let you know how it works out. Thanks Clay |

| As Wayne says take it loose and you can then rotate it so as to loosen it up and pull up at the same time |

| Take the line loose at the front of the rocker arms so you can swing the tube. Then get after it. A small block of wood to pry with as you turn the line back and forth is some times helpfull . Some of these are very very difficult to get out. You will not loose the seal at the bottom as it is in a "groove" and can't get out untill the oil line is out. |
