Good one Rick, I didn't think of that. Dual Power tractors are supposed to have discs with dampner springs, but I suppose someone could have put a solid disc in it.

My 77 had a non dampened disc from day one. Second one was a dampened disc... that blew to pieces. Now it's got a non dampened one again.

My guess is a worn out trans input shaft and/or a worn out clutch hub. IF everything Bern mentioned turn out ok.

Will the PTO pull a load? It sounds to me like a major loss of pressure, at which point the dual power will not apply in either range. If the PTO will stall the engine, then the pressure at the dual power is likely OK. Then your looking at a broken shaft or shift fork or something really odd.

I put a guage on line to dual power, has 200 lbs when i flip the toggle it drops then returns to 200 lbs, this tractor has one silonoid for dual power, manuel says it defaults to low. seems it should move. has a scrubing sound when i push the clutch.
