I have a Ford 601. The last couple of times I went to the New Holland dealer to buy a thermostat, they sold me the wrong one. Trouble is, he insists he is right, But the thermostat should be a larger diameter to fit snugly in the housing. The thermostat I have now slips and slides in the housing, the outer edge does not reach the housing outer contours. My tractor is a 4 cylinder GASOLINE engine. I don't have the thermostat removed, but I know the housing will accept a larger diameter thermostat. A Ford or New Holland part should have info like parts number and diameters. Can someone clarify what I really need? |

| Directly from the New Holland on line parts page. A 172 degree thermostat part number is D8NN 8575 CA. Hand this number to your NH dealer. |
